Thank you for the link to that wonderful article. At this point, my quilt project has delivered 106 quilts to families of Ohio's fallen. Wishing you the best.

I saw the article about the Zimmer's and their organization in today's Dispatch. My brother,Sgt. Adam Knox, also graduated from Westland High and also died in Iraq, on September 17, 2006. I remember seeing Nick Zimmer in the hallways at school, and it is sad to think both he and my brother were in the same school and would soon die in the same war. My mother and I are interested in putting my brother's picture on one of the flagpoles with his name on it. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Spc. Brandy Cottrill. I am from Mansfield, Ohio & I am currently serving my second tour in Iraq and a member of the Ohio National Guard. My little brother is also over here with me. During my first tour in Iraq I lost two of my friends from Mansfield Senior High School. Your website just brought a great amount of comfort to me over here. Thank you for honoring my friends and fallen comrades. I know sometimes we just feel like "a number" but after viewing your site, I feel much more peace & pride in the job I do. Thank you.

I want to extend my support to all troops serving in the military. My son has been serving in Taji, Iraq since October, 2006. The sacrifice the troops and their families make for our country's freedom needs not to be forgotten. Let's see this war through and bring our soldiers home.

We were traveling from Georgia to Ohio to visit family when we heard about the display being in Portsmouth. Imagine how we were blessed to see this memorial! It was most special to us as my husband was able to pay tribute to a fallen friend and see photos on his flag that he'd never seen before. Thank you all for this wonderful tribute.

Gino, it was good to finally meet you on Saturday in Rushsylvania. Know that you ARE doing good work, and it is appreciated by those who have served with those brave young men and women, who, like your son, were unable to return home, and the families left behind. God bless you, Gino, and Semper Fi.

We attended your ceremonies in Mansfield this weekend, as well as (on the Flags') last visit to Mansfield. My wife and I want to thank you for your wonderful tribute to your son and the 175 other heroes from Ohio that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Words are inadequate to describe the impact of the display and the mix of emotions that it generates. God bless you and all the family members of all our fallen heroes. We give thanks to you for your service in memory of our best and brightest. Semper Fi.

I just wanted to say thank you for what you're doing, and to say thank you to all the men and women serving in the military. My heartfelt sympathy for all those past and present who gave their lives so I could live mine in freedom. God bless America and our troops.

I covered the Dover Ohio Flags of Honor ceremony for The Bargain Hunter and thought you might like to have this photo that was not used in the paper. You are welcome to use it for any purpose. The letter attached to your son's flag was beautiful. I was deeply touched by the day. Thank you for your work.

My family would like to take the this time to tell you and your wife "Thank You" for a very important message that is given in your flag display, to remember those who lost their lives. It made me realize that you are very strong and your son would be proud to see what an honor you have given him. I hope this flag display will continue, and that you and your wife have the strength to keep up the honor of those who lost their lives for us to be free.
